Infants

In the Infant Room we work on individual goals and developmental milestones. Every child is different and because of this they have different needs. The teachers in this room will work with parents on developing these goals and appropriate ways to accomplish them. Some of the main things we focus on in the Infant Room are sitting up, crawling, talking, walking, image recognition such as animals and colors. They are fed four times total a day or when needed, we work on transitioning when the parents’ advice from milk/formula to cereal to normal food. This room is all about safety and growth. Open communication between teachers and parents is the best way to help everyone, and this room makes that the number one priority; with their daily review sheet it is seamless and easy to know everything your child did that day.

Toddlers

In the Toddler Room we work on a craft at least every other day. We start to learn the alphabet and focus on recognizing the letters and numbers up to ten. We also start root counting and learning shapes and colors. We incorporate fine motor skills in most activities. One of the centers we have is sensory where they will work with their different senses and explore what they can use them for. The focus in the toddler room is learning to communicate their wants and needs and learning to get along with our friends. To teach these very important lessons we use modeling and role play.

Young Preschool

In the Young Preschool classroom, we align our lessons with the PA State Standards and our curriculum. Social-Emotional Development is very important for this age group and worked on every day. They start building a foundation for language arts and letter recognition along with numbers. You will receive a daily review sheet telling you every event and activity they do daily along with a behavior report. Each week this class works on a different subject such as math, science, art, and fine/gross motor activities.

Preschool

The Preschool Room follows the local school districts curriculum along with PA State standards. Their main goal is to learn routine and get used to a school-like setting. They work on writing and reading and number values. They will master the days of the week and calendar with their circle time each day. Outside gross motor allows them to learn how to jump and play safely with their friends. Problem solving is a big focus in the Preschool room; they are encouraged to work with each other to solve peer problems.
